Hello everyone! As the name of this blog states this is a blog for writers, mostly. But we love everyone. Here you can ask to be made an author and post bits and pieces of your work for critique and review. If you're leaning toward more of the editing side you can make comments on posts made, submit an article on editing and styles of writing, and much more. The sky is the limit here. There are a few simple rules that we ask everyone follow:
1. Be nice. Seriously.
2. Constructive criticism is great. Always commenting that someone's work is awesome, while nice, is not always helpful.
3. Never post your entire work, especially if you plan on publishing it. Posting your work on the internet is considered publishing and many literary agents will reject manuscripts because of this fact.
4. Spell check. It's a pretty nifty tool. We're mainly here to help encourage and evolve writing, not to help with basic spelling and grammar.
5. Read over before submitting a post. If you have something specific you want readers to look for and comment on then say so in your post. Do this in a sentence or paragraph before your actual writing, not after.
6. Be nice. Yes, we 're giving the rule again because it is that important!
7. Have fun. If writing stresses you out then maybe you should think about taking a break. Writing is fun, even if you want it to be your career. Creativity doesn't happen under duress.
